Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Review

I’m going to share the most talk-about DIY facial I’ve ever tried, the ever famous “Aztec Indian Healing Clay”. This clay mask has been receiving overflowing positive feedback from makeupalley and amazon’s. A lot of people are raving on how this clay mask has changed their life etc. Someone even suggested it here on my blog as it works wonders on her. Seeing all those great reviews gave me the courage to give in and purchase a jar of Aztec Indian Healing Clay. By the way, this jar is priced around $9(PHP400) and could last me forever (like literally!) because I only need 1 tablespoon and I use this only thrice a week.
For more info about Aztec Indian Healing Clay, click HERE!

You’ll need the following to work on this Mask:
      1) Apple Cider Vinegar
      2) None Metal Empty container
Here’s how I prepare the Mask:
Step 1: Put 1 tablespoon of Aztec Indian Healing Clay on the empty container

Step 2: Pour in 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in the container
Step 3: Mix it until it became paste form

Step 4: Apply it all over the face and let it dry for 30mins (depending on how your skin can tolerate the tightness)

Step 5: Wash it off with a damp towel until all mask are taken off
My Reviews:
·         Skin felt super soft and smooth in just one use!
·         Brightness and Clarity has improved (no more dull face)
·         Heals acne fast (notice that the size has reduced)
·         Experience tightness and pulsate while waiting for the mask to dry
·         After Wash, skin look a bit redness but will go away after 30-40mins
·         Notice that scars has lighten a tiny bit

Recommend:
·         Some might think that the entire procedure is a waste of time and messy to apply but I TELL you (I am the laziest person on earth!) if I find it easy then it’s definitely a piece of cake for everyone~
·         I would recommend this to those who wanted to brighten up their complexion as this really improve skin clarity in just one application!
·         This is also suitable for those with acne related problem as this tends to heal acne and lighten scars effectively

Tips & Suggestion:
Use it as Spot treatment:

Damp a cotton bud with your favorite toner (I’m using Eskinol Cucumber) then put some Aztec Indian Healing Clay
Apply it to the acne affected areas. It is best to use this at night so that you could leave it overnight. You’ll notice significant improvement in just 2-3 application.

Hope you find this helpful and useful~ ^_^~

  3. I love this mask, my only problem is, over time, the skin where the edges of the mask usually falls tend to get dark over time.

My theory is, kapag na-s-stretch yung skin, sa edges pinaka-na-s-stretch, na-i-irritate tuloy.

nice one you're pretty as well, ahm ask ko lang after using that, nabasa ko sa internet na kelangan mo syang lagyan ng moisturizer, para san yun??
at anu yung best moisturizer na pwede mong ipartner??
tsaka kelangan mo bang hugasan yung muka mo with soap before applying that??
tsaka ok lang ba na after mo gumamit nyan eh gumamit ka ng eskinol sa umaga, probably bago ka pumasok?? wala bang side effect pag ginawa mo yun??

hoping you answer all that questions.. thanks :P

    1. Hi Ely,
Depdende kasi sya sa skin types pero if you are oily or oily combination I can suggest the following:
      1) Yun Aztec Mask kasi will make you skin a bit dry kasi ang purpose nya is to pull out all those dirts beneath pores.
      2) Moisturizer is recommended para hindi maging masyadong dry or mawalan ng moisture (softness) ang skin
      3) Any moisturizer will do as long hiyang ka (but I do recommend water-based moisturizer)
      4) Before applying this mask make sure that your face is cleanse so wash face muna bago mag-apply ng mask
      5) I don't think you need to apply eskinol anymore the next morning kasi malinis na sya since the mask already pull out all the dirt last night
      6) I've been using this mask for more than a year and so far I didn't experience any discomfort.

Lastly, I suggest above points based on my experience and skin condition.
      Hope this helps =)

      Thanks a lot..

    1. Hello dear,
thanks so much for reading my blog ^_~

As for the redness, I'm not quite sure kasi iba iba yun reaction ng skin naten upon using the aztec. Yun brother ko din hindi naging red face nya but he continue using it kasi it helps on clearing out dirt beneath the pores. I'll probably suggest you also continue using it. Did you paired it with ACV?or water? It is best to paired it with acv kasi mas kaya nya ipull out ang mga dirt kung gamit yun acv~

I think of all the products I have tried I can only recommend two products that works FAB on me and I am using them for 1 year straight na. One is the aztec and the second is yun Murad's AHA/BHA wash which I have reviewed here:http://allaboutjyl.blogspot.com/2011/10/review-on-murad-ahabha-exfoliating.html

As for toner and moisturizer, any will do but try selecting a water-based moisturizer para hindi mag-trigger ng oil sa skin. For the toner, you might want to try the Dickinson @ healthy option which I have reviewed here: http://allaboutjyl.blogspot.com/2012/02/short-reviews-eucerin-etude-house.html

      Hope this helps ^_~

    2. Thanks ulit! By the way, I bought Wescobee's apple cider vinegar yesterday. It also contains the 'mother', however, meron syang honey. Is it okay to use this with aztec? I couldn't find the Bragg one at SM supermarket and ito lang ang available and Heinz's ACV. I chose this kasi meron kasi syang mother. But I've read from some blogs/reviews that honey is also good for skin. Ngayon ko lang kasi ita-try gumamit ng ACV with aztec kasi dati, I just used water.

      Thanks in advance ulit!

    3. I guess all ACV are similar even though with or without honey cya =) Try applying in a small portion muna on your hands and if no irritation occurred then its safe for your skin to use =)

    1. hi dear, nope I am not using it anymore as I don't have that much acne anymore compared before.

It really depends on your skin condition but are you only using their toner? If you didn't see any improvement yet have gone worst for a month long, I suggest to switch to other products as it might not be suitable to your skin. You could try using the Eskinol spot less C toner because it works much better in healing pimples =)

I change my skincare routine most of the time as I experience immune of product very often so I switch products time to time. I have listed a few products I have used here:http://allaboutjyl.blogspot.com/p/my-current-skincare.html

It still depends on your skin condition =) Hope this helps ^_~

  42. Hello janet! Your post really helps alot! I'm planning to try this when we got to visit any HO branch. Mas marami sakin ung white heads sa bandang upper lip and lower lip tapos gilid ng nose. Makikita ba talaga na mawawala ang white heads? or kelangan pa bang i-prick? or di na kasi kakapit na mismo sa clay ung whiteheads/blackheads?

may times din na nagdra-dry ung face ko, nagbalat siya, kadalasan sa gilid ng nose.. any recommendation for moisturizer? ginagamit ko noon is ung garnier natural (cost 200Php+) kaso natigil ung paggamit ko dahil no time.

excited na ako makatry nito kasi i've been hearing good feedbacks sa forums eh.

    1. hi dear, yes wash your face clean first then proceed to apply the aztec mask. I really would NOT recommend following it up with toner since you mentioned ,sensitive pa skin mu. The mask itself has the ability to dig deep down pores in order for all the dirt to be removed naman =) Plus, you mentioned that you are only 16, I really would NOT recommend you using this as it might still be too harsh on you delicate skin. If you really would like to try, pair it with yogurt as it yogurt helps moisturize skin ~Hope this helps =)

    1. hello dear, I bought this at Healthy Options. I think most SM Malls have Healthy Options store =) I used to pair it with ACV but since I don't have that much acne anymore I replaced it with water instead and it still works pretty nice on my skin =) able to dig out those dirt thoroughly = Don't worry, it will go away eventually ^_~ The celeteque acne gel work quite nice on me, able to dries up acne but the only cons is it remains redness and scars on my face. That is why I am more onto scar lightening nowadays such as the aztec mask =) Hope this helps =)

    4. I have ice peak scars and pigmentation due to my acne breakouts and the way aztec works for my skin is somehow it tends to lighten the areas. Kumbaga it make it less visible, the ice peak are still there, what it basically did is lighten the scars making the ice peak even with skintone. So far that is how I notice aztec work on my skin. Hope this helps =)
